Credentials of Your Personal Consultant

With over 20 years of experience, Iris Kipnis has successfully assisted parents and students navigate the college admission process. As the Founder of Kipnis College Connection, LLC, Iris has expertise not only in working at the postsecondary level but beyond including graduate and pre-professional candidates and returning adult learners. She founded her practice on the principles of integrity and customer service. These principles remain the cornerstone of her organization today, with families returning with their second, third, and fourth children. Her early vision of assisting families through the complex process of identifying the ideal school for their child and ensuring a fit that motivates a student to thrive is the impetus that inspires Iris daily.

Iris’ extensive background has prepared her for this mission. She has worked at a public university in the mid-Atlantic region, distinguishing herself as a Consultant when she participated in a study for the State Department of Human Services. At a century-old private college, she served as a liaison between the business and academic communities. Iris has also worked at two state colleges, one in academic advising within the Department of Student Services and the other as a Lecturer to incoming freshman.

Prior, Iris served as Director of Education at a professional membership association in Washington, DC where she managed education programs nationwide. She began her career as a Consultant at one of the top three international management consulting firms. Upon moving to Florida, Iris served as Director of Guidance and Counseling at an established private high school prior to opening her practice. Iris has also been engaged in speaking presentations as well as interviews with print and television media.

Iris holds both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland where she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and was awarded a Graduate Fellowship. She was also nominated to Who’s Who Among American Teachers and obtained the State of Florida Professional Educator’s Certification. She is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
